Esophageal cancer models: Grid view
Brief overview: The primary differences between the CISNET Esophageal models are in the modeling methodology. The MSEAC (FHCRC) model is a biologic model based on the paradigm of initiation, promotion, and progression, where carcinogenesis comprises the accumulation of mutations and clonal expansion of partially altered cells on the pathway to malignancy. The EACMo (CUIMC) and MISCAN-ESO (Washington/Erasmus) models focus on malignant mutations defined as health states on individual level rather than cell level. See complete overview
